On Friday, the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, addressed the students before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interaction with them during 'Pariksha Pe Charcha'. During the education minister's interaction, he said that school bells have started ringing once again, reflecting a move towards normalcy after prolonged closures due to Covid-19. Across the country, schools were closed amid the Covid-19 pandemic to contain the spread of it.
In several states, schools were reopened briefly before the second wave. And after the second wave, some schools were reopened again with a hybrid model. For a certain period, this hybrid model, online and offline classes, became the preferred approach for many.
Now, from April 2022, schools in the majority of the states are going completely offline. On Friday, PM Modi asked the students to not get stressed for the upcoming exams as they have successfully overcome exams earlier as well. Further, the prime minister also asked parents and teachers not to impose their unfullfilled dreams and aspiration on children.
The PM advised students to keep online learning as a sort of "reward" after studying offline or use it to supplement the offline notes they received from their teachers. He also suggested using mobile tools to discipline oneself and keep track of how long students were using apps other than for studying. He also asked students to spend some time daily connecting with themselves and introspecting.
"School chimes have begun ringing once more and we are moving towards business as usual," Dharmendra Pradhan said. Schools the nation over were shut in 2020 in front of a cross country lockdown to contain the spread of the novel Covid. Schools in a few states resumed momentarily before the staggering second wave in April, 2021.
While schools resumed in stages, crossover method of classes — on the web and disconnected — turned into the favored methodology and understudies were permitted to go to classes in schools just with their folks' assent. From April, schools in larger part states are going totally disconnected.
"Tests give pressure to everybody. We as a whole report however self-assurance is required.
